Green Case Study - Sustainability and Implementation Plans

Bridge District Sustainability Plan West Sacramento , California

West Sacramento’s Bridge District is a new smart growth project along the Sacramento River, infused with $50 million from seven public funding sources and over $150 million in committed private investment.  Spanning the riverfront from the Tower Bridge to the I-80 overpass, the Bridge District has been ideally situated for development since Raley Field and the nearby River Walk were completed.  By 2014, it is anticipated that over 700 housing units, ranging from elegant eco-design to affordable housing, will be built near an extended riverfront path. For more information about the project please click the Bridge District and theCity of West Sacramento Redevelopment Agency links.
